Your Printer. My Next Project | 3D Model Testing Area

On October 10, 2026, I’m launching the first tests in the new 3D Model Testing Area: a dedicated section of my website where you can test upcoming projects before their public release and help me improve them along the way.

Building this thing took three weeks of hard work, beers, and late nights. I’m definitely not a professional programmer, and there were plenty of moments when I felt like throwing in the towel—but around here at CC3DProjects, we don’t quit.

It’s still a work in progress, but it’s built, it works, and it’s ready to go!

WHAT THE TESTING AREA IS AND WHY I BUILT IT

Trying to manage tests across emails, messages, file attachments, and different model versions had become a mess, creating bottlenecks and slowing down new releases.

The 3D Model Testing Area fixes that exact problem by bringing the entire testing process into one place and making it easier to manage for both me and the testers.

With the Testing Area, you can:

  • Browse active and upcoming tests: Check project details, development status, required printer model or build volume, and available tester spots.

  • Apply for projects: Submit your application for projects that match your setup in a single click.

  • Download dedicated test packages: Once approved, get direct access to test files (STL/3MF), printing instructions, recommended settings, and assembly guides.

  • Provide targeted feedback: Send reports on tolerances, bed adhesion, print times, and needed tweaks directly through the platform before the official release.

SO, WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

Testing a project means investing your own time, printer time, and filament—so it’s only fair that you get something valuable in return.

As an official tester, you’ll get the complete project before its public release, and you’ll also have a direct line to me during the testing process. If there’s something that would make the project work better for your setup, just ask.

Want your logo embedded right on the model? Need a custom mount for your webcam inside an enclosure? Decided to mount your printer on the wall and need dedicated brackets? (Okay, wall-mounting might be a stretch, but you get the point!)

Your feedback doesn’t just help me improve the project—you also get the chance to shape it around your own setup. Whenever possible, I’ll create custom tweaks and adaptations for testers based on their specific needs.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

One of the Squad members will always have priority when it comes to testing my new projects. But every project is different, and sometimes I may need a specific printer, a larger build volume, or a particular setup that simply isn't available within the Squad.

That’s why I’m giving all registered members the chance to be considered for testing too. If I need additional testers and your setup is a good match for a project, you might get an invite to join the test!

There’s no hard deadline to sign up, but I recommend setting up your profile now so you’re ready when the first tests open on October 10th.

If you’re part of One of the Squad:

  • Make sure you use the same email address as your Buy Me a Coffee membership.

  • Fill out your contact details.

  • Add your 3D printers (brand, model, build volume, and features).

  • You’ll get priority access and can apply directly for tests that match your hardware.

If you’re a registered CC3DProjects member:

  • Fill out your contact details.

  • Add your 3D printers (brand, model, build volume, and features).

  • Keep your profile up to date—if I need your printer or setup for a project, you might be one of the testers I invite!
