Hey everyone! 😎So here I am, still knee-deep in the final assembly of my HDRY System – yeah, it’s a masterpiece in the making! I’m sitting here, feeling all proud and totally in the zone, when BAM 💥 – I stumble across this article (and a ton of videos from all those so-called EXPERTS 🧐) about the absolute chaos caused by Bambu Lab’s new firmware update for their 3D printers.
🚨 Oh man, what a SHAME! 🚨 Chaos in the 3D printing!!!!
They’ve rolled out a new authentication system that blocks third-party software (bye-bye, OrcaSlicer 😢) and forces you to use their official app for remote printing. The reason? "For your security" – at least, that’s what they’re saying. But let’s be honest, the community is not thrilled. And even I can’t help but feel a little skeptical... 🤔
I mean, yeah, I get the whole security and "plug-and-play" thing – a system that just works is awesome! But seriously, isn’t this kind of turning their printers into a walled garden? Like, what’s next? Subscription plans for features we already have? Limited filament options? Goodbye, creative freedom? 🚪👋
🎯 Alright, your turn, my fellow makers, tinkerers, and curious minds!
Do you think it’s fair for companies like Bambu Lab to lock down their ecosystem in the name of security?
Or is this a creativity-killer that goes against everything the 3D printing world stands for?
Drop your thoughts in the comments – I wanna hear your takes! Meanwhile, I’ll get back to my HDRQ System™ (the show must go on 💪), but I’ll be keeping an eye on what you all have to say. 🚀💡
Be hones i don't care about drama, its like rest of electronics. Can you use other Operation System on Apple or Android ?
