I getting ready to go to Mars, or have I officially lost my mind? Bambu A1 Enclosure

Yo, guys! I seriously need your opinion—am I going way overboard here? 🤣It’s starting to look like a Star Trek escape pod or something! 😂

The project isn’t done yet, but this is pretty much the vibe I’m going for with this new Bambu A1 Enclosure.

I’m using the A1 Drawer Low Edition as the base—using the standard one would’ve made this thing way too tall! But don’t worry, we’ve still got a tool drawer and a poop drawer (yep, you read that right 💩), because I’ve gotta fit the AMS Lite on top! I’m also slapping in an EPA filter (seriously, I need your advice on the best one here!), and maybe even a Polymaker Dryer for those who want to add it.

Oh, and of course, I’m throwing in a couple of retractable spool holders—you know we can never have enough of those! 😎

And yeah, Hula Feet are already part of the plan! 🦶

So, come on—give me your thoughts! Be honest, but play nice! 😅Can’t wait to hear what you guys think!

Catch you later,

Enrico

Looks cool. The A1 isnt supposedto be enclosed so I was considering putting a Heat Sink with fans to alleviate the lack of cooling of the A1. It woukd be isolated from the rest of the chamber so fumes from the toxic filaments that the printer temps are capable of can be printer safely.

Omg...please hurry on that one! lol.. this is exactly what i was searching for....but one suggestion is that you leave a way for the filaments to be filled from above and outside...this way who uses the AMS Lite enclosure with drysec compartments (wich are a huge print jut by itself) could use the enclosure as well. i use mine mounted on the walls so it would help a lot too!

Can't wait to get your design!

Keep up the great work!

Hey Thiago! That’s exactly what I’m trying to do—ideally, I’d like to make it so you only need to reprint the outer walls, keeping the drawers and the central element as they are.

PA - the A1 can support 2 ams lites - so dual ams lite mounts on top? :D

Hey Otto! First, you butter me up, and now you’re piling on the pressure… you’re killing me here! 😂

Honestly, I’ve never even laid eyes on an A1 or a double AMS Lite setup—I’m just a clueless tinkerer over here! But hey, why not? With space in mind, side-mounting might work… up top could be a bit of a pain for swapping spools, though. Definitely something we should chat about!

Everything’s possible, my friend. Next time, throw me a sketch of your idea so I can actually see what you’re dreaming up!

Thanks again for the extra stressssss.

Catch you later!Enrico😅

Thank you so much for the compliments! I’m just a simple enthusiast trying to create something useful and beautiful. As for the CAPSL model, I’m working on it, but things are crazy over here—too much to do, so many products to develop… I’m losing my mind… LOL. Thanks again!

Big hug 😎
