A1 Mini Enclosure - Print/Test Phase

Updated: Oct 21

Hey team,

I’ve got some updates for you on the Enclosure for our A1 Mini printers. The project is now complete, and this is the final design.

At this initial stage, it’s a simple enclosure that protects the printer from dust and environmental factors while also creating a passively heated chamber, thanks to the heat from the printer’s bed. In the future, we can definitely upgrade it by swapping out some panels to add dehumidifiers, heaters, or even particulate filters—the possibilities for modifications are endless, as usual.

I’ve added a new mount to the original design for placing the AMS Lite on top, as well as openings on the upper part for ventilation, and a convenient strip for installing internal LEDs.

I’m currently printing the parts and hope to complete the final assembly by the end of next week. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to your feedback and suggestions.

Talk soon, Enrico

I'm super stoked for this to get released. Do you think this will have an appreciable effect on the noise level of the running printer?

Hey brother, my answer is a definite no—there’s absolutely no noise or creaking. You’ll just need to recalibrate once it’s installed, and you’re good to go. Thanks for the compliments, they really mean a lot!😉
