Snapmakers, & Such

Why no one talks about this?

Does anyone have the same issue like me? or is it because my filament material was shrunk during printing, therefore widened the gaps?

The poly dryer flap holder does not snap on even with a lot of force. I had to modified it a little bit. Anyone else works just fine?

Alright, let me try to address these issues and see if I can help clear things up. Silica gel issue: If I remember correctly (though I could be wrong), I recommend using 2–3 mm silica gel beads. Looking at the size of the beads that are falling out, it seems like only the smaller ones are escaping. Otherwise, all of them would be falling out, don't you think? Whenever I buy silica gel, I usually sift it first to remove any dust, debris, and the smaller beads before putting it into the silica box. Polydryer latch issue: I had to make that snap-fit extremely precise to prevent it from becoming loose over time. If it's not closing properly for some people, it's most likely related to the printing material itself—or more specifically, how much the material shrinks after printing. The first thing I would try is gently heating the lower corners of the base with a small torch or heat source, then trying to install it again. I'd also check carefully for any leftover print artifacts, blobs, or debris that could be preventing the Polydryer from seating correctly. As a last resort, I would try printing the part at 101% scale, or even 102% in some cases. It really depends on how your particular filament behaves after printing and cooling. Let me know if any of these solutions work and if you're able to get it sorted out! Thanks! 😊
