ESTIMATED MODEL RELEASE DATE
Hey folks,
just wanted to give you a quick update on where my project stands.
The model is pretty far along—I've already printed and tested the case, and aside from a few minor design tweaks, it's basically good to go.
Now, here's where things get tricky: the electronics.
I spent months trying to create a setup that would meet my goals—a dehumidifier and heater controlled by a touchscreen, with software to manage power consumption, timing, and material-specific settings.
Unfortunately, I totally hit a wall.

The biggest challenge has been finding components that are available worldwide, and then making sure they're durable enough.
While the case held up great, even at temperatures over 70°C, the electronics didn’t fare as well.
I've had everything from partial board meltdowns to just plain underperformance.
I'm just a hobbyist, not an electrical engineer, so maybe I got what was coming to me, as some have said.

I ABSOLUTELY DON'T WANT TO RISK RELEASING SOMETHING THAT'S UNSAFE OR POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS.

But I’m not ready to throw in the towel just yet.

If any of you out there have the skills and are interested in teaming up to tackle the electronics side of things, I’d love to hear from you.
You never know, right? In the meantime, I’m working on adapting the design to fit existing products like the Polymaker PolyDryer system.
Wish me luck, and if you're up for building something cool together, I’m all ears!
