HOW TO BECOME A CC3D PROJECT TESTER
The new Testing section on CC3DProjects lets you apply to become a tester for upcoming CC3D projects, find tests that are compatible with your 3D printers, and, if selected, access the project files before the official release.
To participate, you need an active One of the Squad membership on Buy Me a Coffee.
Here’s how it works.
VERIFY YOUR BUY ME A COFFEE EMAIL
First, open the Tester Profile page and enter the email address associated with your Buy Me a Coffee membership.Follow the instructions on the page to complete the verification.
Important: Membership information may take about 3 hours to sync from Buy Me a Coffee to CC3DProjects.
If you just joined or renewed your membership and your email can’t be verified right away, don’t worry.
Wait about 3 hours and try again.Once verified, your email will remain linked to your tester profile. If your membership expires and you later renew it using the same email address, you won’t need to verify it again.
If you change the email address you use on Buy Me a Coffee, click Change BMAC Email and complete the verification process with your new email.

COMPLETE YOUR TESTER PROFILE
Once your email has been verified, complete your Tester Profile with the requested personal and contact information.

Please make sure your information is accurate and up to date, as it may be used to contact you about the testing projects you participate in.
​
When you’re done, save your profile using the appropriate button.
ADD YOUR 3D PRINTERS
Now you can add the 3D printers you own and are willing to use for testing.
For each printer, carefully check the information about:

brand;
-
model;
-
build volume;
-
any other required features.

Can’t find your printer in the list? Just contact me and let me know which printer you have. We’ll add it together so you can include it in your tester profile.

This information is important because CC3DProjects uses it to determine which projects are compatible with your printers.
​
You can update this section at any time. If you get a new printer or stop using one that’s currently listed in your profile, remember to update your printer list.
FIND AVAILABLE TESTS
Once your profile is complete, open the Tests Available page.
​
Here you’ll find the CC3D projects that are currently available for testing.
​
For each project, you’ll be able to quickly check key information, including:

project status;
-
required printer;
-
minimum build volume;
-
estimated amount of material needed;
-
estimated testing time;
-
number of testers already selected;
-
remaining tester spots.
If a project looks interesting, click Go to Project Details to see all the information about the test.
CHECK FOR THE PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
On the Project Details page, you’ll find everything you need to determine whether you can participate in the test.

To apply, the project must have the Waiting Testers status and applications must still be open.
​
You’ll also need:

an active and verified One of the Squad membership;
-
at least one compatible 3D printer;
-
enough build volume for the project;
-
an available tester spot.
If one or more of these requirements aren’t met, the application button may not be available.
APPLY TO BECOME A TESTER
If you meet all the requirements, you can apply directly from the Project Details page.

Click Apply to Be a Tester, select the printer you’ll use for the project, and confirm your application.
​
After submitting your application, you’ll see the status: Pending Approval.
​This means your application has been received and is waiting for approval.
​
Submitting an application doesn’t automatically guarantee that you’ll be selected.
Testers must be approved before they can access the project’s testing files.
IF YOUR APPLICATION IS APPROVED
If you’re selected for the test, you’ll see the following status when you return to the project page:

Approved Tester

At that point, the Download Project Files button will also become available.
​
Testing files are only available to testers who have been approved for that specific project.
DOWNLOAD THE FILES AND START TESTING
Click Download Project Files to download the project package.
​
Depending on the project, the package may include:
-
STL or 3MF files;
-
printing instructions;
-
recommended print settings;
-
a list of required hardware;
-
assembly instructions;
-
specific testing requirements;
-
testing goals.
Before you start, make sure to carefully read all the documentation included with the project.
You’re now ready to print, assemble, and test the CC3D project.

Your feedback as a tester is important. It helps identify potential issues, verify the instructions, and improve the project before its official release.
